Great value for the money.
I bought these based on a recommendation from a friend and the favorable reviews already written. The sound is way better than any other ear buds I've used. Granted I haven't used a lot of others but they're way more comfortable than your typical iPod buds and the sound quality is awesome for such a small little speaker. I use them with my cell phone (Google G1 - with adapter) when traveling and they've replaced more expensive full headphones when sitting at my desk at work. First they don't mess up my hair at work, they're a much lower profile than monstrosity's sitting on my head and likewise they're way better than my more expensive headphones for canceling out the noise of coworkers. My only negative on these is that I wish the chord was a little longer. Other than that I'll definitely recommend these to others.
So far so good
I have not owned these long enough to brag that they are not broken or shorted out, but I can confirm that these are not the type of headphone you really want to walk around and leave in your ears when they are not playing, because they plug your ears so tightly that you can't hear outside noise (some people may prefer this) or hold a conversation the way you can with the factory IPhone buds. Also, the 3GS factory buds have a volume control on the mic, but these just have a button to stop the music and/or take a call. The fact that they plug your ears so tight is also why they make too much noise when you touch the cord or tap the buds in your ear. If you are ready for that to occur, then you will be less dissapointed by it. They come with seven different tips, and I found the most comfort with the small one. Once I had these tips on there, I found them very comfortable though, and I have begun to get over the cord noise issue. They seem durable so far...at least to the extend that my dog might break a tooth this time.
Fail
I ordered these for my son for Christmas. Unfortunately, they've already been returned to the the company. They were not abused. Left ear bud stopped working within a month. I'm really surprised because I was willing to spend extra money for the durability.
I hope they honor the lifetime warranty.
